Infection Control
How to treat oral infections
Clients and employees are both protected by infection controls and universal safeguards. Infection prevention is beneficial to everyone, including you, your dentist, and the dental team. The notion of trust is the foundation of an effective and safe dental practice. You should feel free to discuss this matter with Dr XYZ, and you should obtain an honest response.
Drs XYZ, as well as the rest of our team, follow the guidelines set out by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) (CDC). These are some of the measures:
- Antibacterial soap
- Gloves and Facemasks
- Chemical disinfection of surfaces
- Use of Disposables materials
- Pre-sterilization of all equipment
- We sterilize all reusable dental handpieces. A steam, heat, and pressure autoclave kill bacteria and viruses.
Information is the most effective weapon against disease. The more information you have, the more positioned you will be to make informed healthcare decisions. The more you understand our day-to-day procedures and policies, the more at ease you will be.
