DENTURE MAINTENANCE in XYZ
Tips for Taking Care of Your Dentures
- Only a dentist is qualified to diagnose your oral health and make adjustments to your denture or partial denture.
- A soft, big nylon denture tooth brush with round-ended bristles should be used to brush dentures inside and out daily.
- Instead of toothpaste, use denture creams, which are less abrasive and less likely to scratch your denture. Rinse well with cold water.
- If you soak dentures in hot water, they will warp.
- Check your denture for worn teeth on a regular basis.
- Dentures worn and stained can make you appear older and cause your dentures to perform badly.
- Talk to your doctor and dentist about all of your current medication.
- Make it a point to see your dentist on a regular basis.
- Check for loose dentures every once because they can cause friction and pressure on the gum tissues and bones.
- To keep dentures from drying out while not in use, cover them with water or a denture-cleaning solution.
- New dentures are usually covered by most dental insurance policies every 5 years.
