Rebase
Dentures are repaired by a denture specialist.
When the teeth on your denture are in good shape and have not worn out in contrast to the denture base material, rebasing may be recommended. Rebasing is the procedure of changing the complete acrylic denture base without replacing the denture teeth, resulting in a more stable denture. If your denture is old or fractured, you may need to have it rebased. The distinction between a rebase and a relining is that a rebase replaces the entire pink-acrylic denture base material rather than just the lining. The rebase method may be performed for a variety of reasons, including:
- A denture that is either broken or damaged.
- A brittle or worn-out pink denture base
- Immediate denture replacement
Repairing Dentures
A broken denture can be caused by a variety of factors and should be addressed right once. Dentures that have been cracked or damaged can be repaired to get them back to their original state. Denture repair can typically be done on the same day at XYZ. Dr. XYZ will examine your denture and advise you on how to prevent additional damage.
